With God all things are possible.
Hi, my name is Billie Jo Dood but most just call me BJ. I am 36 years old and an Ocala, Fl. native. My husband and I have been together for 19 years and have two wonderful children of which are 16 and 10. After several tests it has been determined that I have Bronchiolitis obliterans and severe obstructive pulmonary disease (SOPD), a terminal illness that can only be resolved through transplant. Unfortunately this is a battle that I cannot fight on my own. The doctors say that I have 6mos to one year if I do not receive the transplant in time. With the limited amount of insurance that I have, I am going to need your help.
In between the cost of anti-rejection medicines (which I’ll be taking for the rest of my life), transportation costs, and living arrangements for the length of my stay in Gainesville, Fl , I just simply will not be able to afford them. These are not covered under my insurance so that’s were you can help.
To help out with this financial burden Shands Health Care in Gainesville, Fl. has suggested fundraising. I have chosen NTAF, which is a non-profit organization that has been helping transplant patients like me for more than 20 years. All donations are tax deductible and you can rest assured that all monies will be handled appropriately.

Sincerely,
Billie Dood

Autism
My ten year old son has autism. And regardless of recent talk show host comments. Autism is very real. My son is a loving caring little boy. but when frustration or a pattern change or his medicine is not working he becomes loud, mean, non socialable, and so much more. I almost cry when he enters that world. In fact I have cried. Yes I have cried. Jason is the most beautiful child but this illness sometimes gets the best of him. I thank God everyday for the gift of this child. and Mr. Savage I challange you be with him twenty four hours a day. When one moment he is being the loving child he is, and then the other when his world becomes full of chaos.
